Paysafe Group-owned digital wallet providers Skrill and Neteller have detailed plans for the addition of four new cryptocurrencies, expanding the range of coins on each respective platform to in excess of 40 each.

Allowing users to buy, sell and hold crypto-tokens via their interfaces, both companies will integrate Avalanche’s AVAX, Dfinity’s Internet Computer Protocol (ICP), IoTeX’s IOTX and Axie Infinity’s AXS into their offerings, including exponents from major smart contract and computation platforms.

The additions build on the firms’ current crypto-range, which includes Bitcoin, Ethereum, Chainline and Solona, offering customers the ability to set custom price alerts to notify them of major developments or set up recurring purchases, with the latter coin added to Paysafe’s crypto roster last month.

Appointed in August of this year, Chirag Patel, Digital Wallets CEO at Paysafe said: “We are excited to be expanding our selection of cryptocurrencies within Skrill and NETELLER, with our latest batch including some very exciting cryptocurrencies available today.

“Tokens like AVAX, ICP, IOTX and AXS are great additions for us, allowing our customers to get exposure to the rapidly growing DeFi and Play-to-Earn economies. This cements Skrill and NETELLER as ideal platforms for accessing the vibrant crypto world, and our portfolio tools will surely make life easier for our users as well.”

AVAX is the native gas fee token on Avalanche’s platform, whilst Dfinity Foundation’s Internet Computer was launched with the aim of creating a decentralised cloud to ‘replace the core centralised infrastructure of the internet’, with ICP as its native token.

Meanwhile, AXS is the governance token of play-to-earn blockchain-based game Axie Infinity which features ‘unique NFTs’ linked to animal characters owned by users, and IOTX is the utility token that powers IoTeX’s decentralised blockchain network, developed with ambition to ‘facilitate collaboration between humans and IoT devices in a trustless and safe way’.
