VIXIO shows safe-gambling dedication in Global Regulatory Awards

VIXIO Gambling Compliance has announced the winners of its Global Regulatory Awards, as it welcomed back more than 250 guests to the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London.

The organisation looks to recognise and reward individuals and teams who ‘work tirelessly to set new standards’ in compliance and responsibility across the gambling industry.

Mike Woolfrey, VIXIO CEO, expressed his pride for the event, commenting: “Congratulations to all our winners. This year the standard was exceptionally high, so winning an award really is a clear demonstration of a dedication towards regulatory compliance and safer gambling.”

Alexander Armstrong announced the winners across 18 categories, as DraftKing’s Jennifer Aguiar won the award of Chief Compliance Officer of the year.

“VIXIO is proud to provide a platform to showcase the great work going on within the industry. We were delighted to see that guests from across the globe joined us last night, a true testament to the industry’s recovery following the pandemic,” added Woolfrey.

Furthermore, Greentube walked away with Compliance Team of the year, and Flutter Entertainment, Mindway Al and Kambi each received two globally regulatory awards.

Additionally, former Danish regulator Birgitte Sand was recognised with the Compliance Lifetime Achievement Special Award for her progressive work in the field of safer gambling.

Since its launch in 2017, the independently adjudicated Global Regulatory Awards aims to recognise and celebrate those who ‘demonstrate excellence’ in responsible gambling as the industry moves towards a stronger culture of compliance.

The category sponsors included BetConstruct, Digital Isle of Man, Harris Hagan, Playtech and USAbility Digital, alongside charity partner, YGAM. The full list of 2021 award winners can be found here
