In collaboration with the Spanish top-flight, Socios.com will work to create new opportunities for 800 million global football fans to actively engage with the brand via blockchain technology solutions.

Alexandre Dreyfus, Founder and CEO of Socios.com, commented: “The LaLiga partnership will allow us to take another step forward in our mission to bring about a new era of global fan engagement, where fans are no longer spectators, but empowered, active participants.

In a reinforcement of its football-relations, Socios.com has had over 40 sport organisations across 20 countries and seven different sports launch  official Fan Tokens via itsapp.

The firm’s notable collaborators include LaLiga Santander clubs such as FC Barcelona, Atlético de Madrid, Valencia CF and Levante UD, Formula 1 teams, esports organisations and mixed martial arts brands.

“Over the past few years Socios.com has earned a reputation for being an innovative brand in sports in terms of embracing innovation and leveraging new technologies,” added Dreyfus. “This partnership is another demonstration of their boldness and leadership.”

Socios.com has seen success in its partnership with the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association (NBA), after a deal last month to continue to pursue its commercial strategy of expansion.

The platform works to provide fan engagement opportunities to Bulls supporters through Twitter polls alongside serving as the presenter of the team’s halftime score updates on social media.

Oscar Mayo, Executive Director of LaLiga, added: “Thanks to this agreement, all our fans around the world will be able to connect more actively with their favourite players and teams. For us it’s a way of getting closer to them and offering them new experiences.”
