MuchBetter, the e-wallet digital payments provider, has moved to bolster its marketing and presence in the online gaming space by partnering with poker player Chris Moneymaker.
The partnership will provide its customers with a chance to “recreate the heroic journey” from an unknown casual player to a world champion. MuchBetter players who register and upload $86 into the online poker site will be entered into the MuchBetter Moneymaker Poker Experience draw.
“When I deposited that original US$86, I had no idea where it would lead,” said Chris Moneymaker. “I’m really looking forward to meeting our winners and working with them to write the next chapter of their poker story and excited to see where it takes them.”
As well as the poker buy-in, the winners will receive private online poker lessons from the Moneymaker to refine and hone their poker skills and strategy, and a whole lot of high-tech equipment to make their home poker set up “much more enjoyable and slick”.
The e-wallet app is known for its MegaDraw, the quarterly rewards draw which this year will give away €12,500 each to four winners. The Moneymaker Poker Experience will award 50 runners up with an additional 1000 MegaDraw points to their MuchBetter account.

Moneymaker joins German poker pro and Twitch star Felix Schneiders in representing the award-winning e-wallet.
