IP protection firm White Bullet has secured an anti-piracy partnership with the continental lottery umbrella organisation European Lotteries (EL), focused on ad-funded piracy.

White Bullet will track advertising on high-risk pirate websites and report back to EL, presenting information on where ads appear in order to assist with the fight against piracy and highlight any issues relating to advertising.

Founded in 2013, White Bullet leverages its platform to search for IP-infringing content, reviews each infringement’s context and decides structural violations on a commercial scale, producing accurate piracy risk scores based on its analysis.

The firm works to identify piracy across varying digital ecosystems, providing updated, real-time tracking of any advertising whilst examining the financial impact of piracy with AI and machine learning.

Peter Szyszko, Founder and CEO, White Bullet, remarked: “We are delighted to support the European Lotteries as it helps to ensure a sustainable gaming model and to defund online piracy.

“EL plays an extremely important role within its sector and this partnership will help legitimate organisations to use and protect their IP.”

White Bullet is led by a team of intellectual property lawyers with experience in both media and advertising and aims to offer IP risk protection, brand safety and full transparency on advertising placement and digital supply chains to its clients.

In addition to its experience cooperating with other 3,000 different companies including brands, advertisers, regulators and rights owners, White Bullet has also assisted governments and claims to have prevented millions of pounds in ad revenue from funding piracy.

The company has designed its Intellectual Property Infringement Platform (IPIP) to make recognising fraudulent content easier and help reduce the profit of intellectual property crime.

Furthermore, White Bullet offers its services to allow clients to better understand piracy and halt criminal revenue by using a multi-party approach, providing real-time data concerning privacy risk to rights owners and the advertising industry.

“We are delighted to partner with White Bullet and have no doubt that its platform and expertise will help us to be successful in our mission to safeguard the interest of our Members and by doing so, protecting their players as well,” added Arjan van ’t Veer, Secretary General of EL.

“Brand safety is of paramount importance to us and our Members as we continue to fight illegal offerings. By collaborating with White Bullet, EL Members will have access to benchmark studies and will be able to maintain their high brand safety standards.”
