MultiPay extends payments product to SMEs

MultiPay Group has enhanced its payment services product to SME businesses via the launch of its MultiPay Merchant Services product.

The group’s payment methods are already utilised by businesses in the retail, hospitality, tourism and travel sectors to ‘thrive and grow’.

MultiPlay has included a number of features into the Merchant Services offering, such as low card processing rates, free next-day settlements, tailored pricing options, an absence of PCI charges or CNP uplifts and no minimum monthly charges or statement fees.

Additionally, the service can be used via on-line, in-store, over-the-phone and on–the-go payment solutions, as well as through all-in-one mobile, bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled terminals.

The pandemic cost small business owners an average of £11,799 between May and August 2020, and resulted in around 234,000 small businesses closing permanently.

MulitPay has stated its intention to utilise its Merchant Services product to enable SMEs to ‘stay as competitive as possible’ to meet customer’s payment preferences – which have shifted increasingly towards contactless methods due to distancing measures – and assist with an economic rebound from the financial impacts of COVID-19.

“SMEs are built around the highly personalised and tailored service they offer. When it comes to their own payment provider, they should expect the same,” said David Maisey, CEO at MultiPay Merchant Services.

“Now more than ever, the six million SMEs in the UK need to focus on what they do best, keeping their customers happy and running their business, without worrying about their payment solutions and service. Whether paying with a card, a mobile device or online, SMEs need systems that can take any payment, anywhere.

“To facilitate this, we deliver a straight-forward, end-to-end solution that simplifies the payment process with personalised, couture support that solves 95% of technical queries in under 2 minutes. We achieve this with our own dedicated 24/7/365 in-house UK customer service team, ensuring support comes directly from MultiPay and is never outsourced.”

In addition, Merchant Services’ card terminals are fully compliant with PCI P2PE & PCI DSS L1 and accept all major credit and debit cards, in addition to Apple Pay and Android Pay.

The service also maintains e-commerce and EPOS solutions for the hospitality and retail industries, allowing for both on-line and face-to-face interactions and transactions, whilst all clients will have the opportunity to utilise contactless credit card machines and card processing merchant accounts.

Maisey added: “We have built MultiPay to not only be the single point of contact for our customers’ payment needs but to also enable a fully end-to-end solution. With our in-house logistics and UK-based helpdesk support, we provide a bespoke, personalised payments experience all under one roof.

“By doing this, it also means that we cut out unnecessary expenses, allowing us to keep costs low and highly competitive. In fact, our fast and efficient switching service can save new customers as much as 70% on their existing costs.”

MultiPay’s announcement follows the launch last month of its all-in-one agnostics payments solution, featuring an API to act as a single point of integration between any payment method and any acquirer regardless of location.
