Nets has grown its offering with the announcement that its e-commerce platform will offer PayPal in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.

The offering will feature alongside cards and local payment options for SMBs in a move that will be a key boost for Nordic merchants – particularly those with an international customer base.

Consumers will benefit from a broader range of payment alternatives presented in a seamless customer interface.

Patrik Müller, e-commerce expert at Nets, stated on the growth: “Our online checkout – with PayPal as an integrated part of our range of available payments – continues to become more complete and accommodating. This is especially important for merchants with an international customer base and will support their further growth with international consumers shopping on Nordic websites.”

The payment methods used by consumers online differs from country to country, but according to Nets research, each consumer expects to be able to pay using their preferred payment brand. According to e-commerce surveys from Nets, one of the most common reasons for consumers failing to complete online purchases is that their preferred payment method is not available.
