Mobile-first payment provider, Judopay has announced it has joined the #KeepBritainMoving initiative in response to the current COVID-19 pandemic to help small businesses.

As a part of a UK-wide campaign, Judopay will help small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) by providing the companies with a platform to receive expert business advice, guidance or digital payment support to help keep businesses running during this period of uncertainty.

Jeremy Nicholds, CEO at Judopay, commented: “Small businesses are the financial bloodline of the UK economy, and their survival in the current economic climate is vital, not only for the growth of the UK, but to local communities who depend on them.

“We want to play our part in helping fellow businesses during these tough times. We joined the #KeepBritainMoving initiative because it aligns with our goals and our efforts to help businesses streamline and adjust to the unprecedented and changing landscape.”

He added: “We want to support our fellow businesses by sharing advice, guidance or giving them a temporary solution to help keep their business running during the coming weeks and months; this platform will help us do that.”

Judopay chose to align with the #KeepBritainMoving campaign after witnessing the impact the pandemic has already had on thousands of offline businesses.

In keeping with the optimistic tone of #KeepBritainMoving, the firm revealed it was inspired by the stories of physical businesses that have already successfully adapted and gone digital. Motivated by this quick turnaround, Judopay created an online hub of business support for small businesses seeking advice during these times.

As part of the campaign, Judopay is also offering digital payments advice and services to any business urgently looking to launch an online offering. While this switch to digital may only be for the coming months, it will hopefully serve to get numerous businesses back up and running as soon as possible.
