Coinbase Card has expanded its engagement, with Android users now able to add it directly to their Google Pay wallets.

The launch of Google Pay means Coinbase now becomes the first company to enable users to make mobile payments powered by its crypto balances.

Mapping out how to utilise the card on, the firm’s release stated: “To get started with Coinbase Card, download the Android app today and securely sign in using your Coinbase account. Once a Coinbase Card has been requested, customers can add their card to Google Pay and start spending their crypto, before the physical Coinbase Card arrives. The Coinbase Card app is also available for iOS users.”

Google Pay seeks to give Coinbase Card customers a fast, secure way to pay using their smartphones, smartwatches, and other Google Pay-enabled devices. With Google Pay, Android users can pay for everything from daily travel to end-of-year getaways using their crypto in a safe way.

From today, Coinbase Card payments using Google Pay are available to customers in the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, Belgium, Finland, France, Italy,, Slovakia, Spain, Croatia, Czech Republic, Poland, Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. We are working to expand to other European countries later this year.
