PayPal approves ECOMMPAY as Commerce Platform pilot

ECOMMPAY, a supplier of digital payment solutions for high-risk industries, has secured a significant corporate achievement having been granted approval to integrate and pilot the PayPal Commerce Platform

In 2019, PayPal launched its Commerce Platform (formally known as ‘PayPal Partners’), creating an open marketplace for recommended partners to service a broad range of Fintech applications within a safe developer environment.

PayPal detailed a number of benefits for online merchants utilising its Commerce Platform enhancing their payment capacities. It provides merchants with instant access to ‘trusted suppliers’ covering all core transactional components including KYC, compliance, sandbox testing, risk management and monitoring.

An ECOMMPAY statement read: “The benefit for business is clear: with one integration, merchants can customise the payments experience using whichever tools, services, or commerce solutions they require.”

Operating since 2012, ECOMMPAY has developed a full-stack payment solution and further financial provisions engineered for high-risk industry merchants operating in sectors such as online gambling, FX exchange and online trading.

Securing PayPal Commerce Platform approval, it will be able to offer its clients a broader selection of payment options and access further transactional applications within its API.

“Our partnership with PayPal grants us the chance to be the first payment service provider on their new Commerce Platform,” explained Olga Karablina, Partner Team Lead at ECOMMPAY.

“This means our clients, particularly those from the travel and hospitality sector, will have unique access to a wider portfolio of payment methods within one API.”
