In a bid to strengthen ecommerce security Deutsche Bank in Spain has united with Mastercard and Idemia to launch the ‘Motion Code’. 

Enhancing online security, the CVC code of the card will change every four hours, the technology builds on that utilised by a plethora of banks within Europe, including European banks to have tried out dynamic CVC technology include SocGen, BNP Paribas, and BPCE.

Luis Miegimolle, Deutsche Bank Card Manager commented on the importance of the deal and the impact it can have on security: “The Deutsche Bank Mastercard Tarjeta Calma will go beyond usual payment card benefits and offers customers the latest security tech so that they can buy online in an environment where online shopping is ever growing. 

“We are thrilled to pioneer this technology in Spain and introduce this new product backed by Mastercard and Idemia.”

Launched under the brand name Tarjeta Calma, the card will significantly strengthen the battle against data theft and card cloning, with its heightened ability to adjust every four hours. 

The news comes as Deutsche Bank sets its sights on a key period in 2020, as it aims to increase its annual revenue to 2% by the year 2022.
