Online prepaid payment provider paysafecard has announced the extension of its partnership with esports organisation G2 Esports.

An arm of Paysafe Group, the firm will be heading into its fourth consecutive year of supporting the organisation by enabling esports fans to transact online using cash via its prepaid card.

Brand promotion will feature across G2 Esports’ social media channels, Twitch live streams dedicated team signing sessions, meet and greets plus paysafecard-branded giveaways and online player challenges

Konstantinos Maragkakis, paysafecard’s esports media representative, said: “paysafecard’s connection to esports has been in our DNA since our company was founded nearly 20 years ago to enable gaming enthusiasts to pay online – as safely and as simply as with cash.

“We want to give something back to the esports community and provide them with unforgettable, unique experiences. Partnerships with major industry players like G2 Esports enable us to do this.”

G2 Esports is one of the largest esports organisations and currently possess a total of nine teams breaking down to 46 players.

Previous collaborations between the two firms include ‘Making The Squad’ – an “interactive talent show” aimed at finding the next four top content creators in Fortnite to create a team.

“With paysafecard we have been able to take G2 content creation to the next level with projects like Making The Squad. Together we are exploring new ways of entertaining the esports audience and new ways of expanding our partnership,” commented Carlos Rodriguez, CEO, G2 Esports.

“paysafecard is our longest-standing partner and we are thrilled to strengthen our relationship as we continue to bring innovative and entertaining content to esports fans worldwide.”
