Global payment service and platform provider Adyen has announced a payment partnership with Swedish multinational home appliance manufacturer Electrolux.

Adyen’s SAP certified ‘Adyen Payments Add-on 3.4.0 for SAP Commerce‘ will be integrated to help improve the manufacturing companies payment management.

It will also enable the company to use one single platform to manage all their sales channels, data and systems in a bid to create frictionless payments online, mobile and in-store.

“Adyen’s add-on for SAP Commerce gives access to the all-in-one payments platform that fits our needs,” said Bjorn Grevsten, e-commerce director at Electrolux.

“We have a complex business so the solution offered by Adyen and SAP helps makes our lives easier. It eliminates pain-points and logistical issues associated with back-end process and payments, allowing us to solely focus on our customers.”

Created and developed in-house, the add-on for SAP Commerce aims to offer “direct and fast” support, which results in a quick go-to-market solution.

The Amsterdam company describe the add-on as “highly scalable” so companies can add new functionalities, such as new payment methods or checkout flows.

Businesses will also benefit from access to Adyen’s entire platform, including checkout, preferred local payment methods, payment fraud protection and conversion optimization.

“Our goal is to make payments as simple as possible for retailers so they can offer a seamless, unified payment experience to help them stand out in a highly competitive sector,” said Roelant Prins, chief commercial officer, Adyen.

“Combining SAP’s leading commerce solution with our technology offers retailers a one-stop-shop for all of their business needs.”

Adyen recently launched a new open banking payment method in the UK to serve as an alternative for payments.
