Worldpay seeks to unify PR representation in 2019

UK marketing news source PR Week has reported that leading global payment solutions and merchant services provider Worldpay is undertaking a review of its public relations representation.

The review of its PR structures/frameworks, follows a transformative 2018 in which Worldpay completed an $11 billion merged with US credit card processing giant Vantiv, forming new entity – Worldpay Group Plc, the outright global leader in payment processing solutions across digital and retail disciplines.

Reports detail that in 2019, Worldpay seeks to unify its public relations strategy, which to date has been represented by a number of PR agencies operating across core territories.

Worldpay representative agencies include Edelman Group’s subsidiary Revere as North American PR lead, working alongside Golin London as UK and Europe incumbent.

Emily Lahey Director of Worldpay Marketing Communications, confirmed to PR Week that the New York-listed tech firm had begun the review of its public relations set-up, but that no agencies had been selected to submit representative proposals.

Processing $40 trillion in annual transactions, and generating quarterly net revenues above $1 billion mark, the representation of an enlarged Worldpay Plc will be one of the most hotly contest PR tenders of 2019.
